John brought sociocracy to the English-speaking world beginning in 1990. He continues to enjoy encouraging the development of organic organizations that operate with a lively, multi-hearted sense of being. He resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA with his wife, Ramona, an internationally certified mediator.

Angelika is Leadership Associates’ Executive Director. She is a licensed leadership and management advisor, certified auditor, facilitator, trainer and coach. In her work, she focuses on inclusive, positive and agile leadership based on personal and organizational integrity with a view to sustainability. She is passionate about social innovation, entre/intrapreneurship, governance, management systems and digital tools. Angelika has an academic background in Sociology, Criminology, International Relations and Integrated Risk Management from Austria and the UK. Her experience ranges from civil society – including faith-based organizations – to small businesses, from large international companies to international non-profits. Angelika is based in Vienna from where she supports Leadership Associates’ engagement in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. She is equally happy to work online, which she does frequently, e.g. in her positions on the Strategy Boards of Governance Alive and the Institute for Integral Studies in Freiburg, Germany.

Swarnalakshmi R, is a motivational speaker and holds two master degrees, one in Political Science from the University of Madras in India and another in international relations and global governance from Aston university in England where received one of ten scholarships for academic excellence from over 1000 applicants. The first person from India ever to receive one of the International Vice Chancellor scholarships. She became A certified facilitator in sociocracy Governance Method at the age of 22 after receiving a training from Governance Alive. Served in various positions of responsibilities in the Inclusive Neighbourhood Children’s Parliaments movement of India including as its National Child Prime Minister which also uses sociocracy as its governance method. Experienced at networking and team building through working with the children’s parliaments for 13 years. Helped to build a board software for children to efficiently organize and conduct meetings. At the age of 21, participated in making 2 app pitches to the Venture Capitalists of Silicon valley and EBAN. Addressed in United Nations four times as a keynote speaker at the ages of 13, 14, 16 and 17 advocating for Inclusive Education and for the prevention on violence against women and girls. Lobbied with the ambassadors and diplomats of about 20 countries. At present, also support for the World Children’s Parliament as a Global Convenor networking with children from across different continents whenever possible.
